The room was full of more than 70 artists, with easels and sketch pads poised. Alison wants to inspire her year-old daughter to be proud of her body. This is the first time the women have run the program, and while the models say they feel liberated, the organisers would like to partner with a university in the future to study the changes in behaviour and prove it is a successful form of therapy. So she decided she would start her own studio where the models were celebrated. Ms Napier had modelled for more than decade but said she was feeling down after she was verbally abused by an artist who thought her last pose was "improper".
